Popularly known as the Devbhumi ­– “Land of the Gods”, Himachal Pradesh is a beautiful hill state in India, nestles in north-west region of western Himalayas. The state is landlocked with the Tibetan plateau to the east, Jammu and Kashmir to the north, and the Punjab to the west. DAY 01:  TRANSFER FROM CHANDIGARH TO SARAHAN

Arrive and meet us at Chandigarh Airport or railway station and transferred to Sarahan by road. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.

 

DAY 02: TRANSFER FROM SARAHAN TO SANGLA

After breakfast, leave for the Bhimkali Temple at Sarahan. Counted amongst the the famous 51 Shaktipeeths, the temple is very sacred to Hindus. Continue your drive to Sangla reach to your destination in evening. Choose to stay in a luxury tented accommodation or a hotel. Post refreshment; enjoy a walk through Kamru and Sangla villages where you visit the beautifully carved old temples and Buddhist monasteries. Here, you’ll get the chance to interact with local people and listen to their stories. The Sangla valley is also known as the Baspa Sangla valley, after river Baspa which flows through the valley and it is the part of Kinnaur valley. Spend an overnight stay in hotel in Sangla.

 

DAY 03: LOCAL SIGHTSEEING OF CHITKUL SANGLA VALLEY

Post delicious breakfast, you’ll visit Sangla, Kamru village to witness the charm of Kamru Fort where you visit the Kamaksha Devi Temple. Being a populous and fertile village, Sangla is located at an altitude of 2621 mts above sea level and at a distance of 17 kms from Karcham. Echoing the scenic beauty of the gigantic Raldang Peaks, from Sangla reach Chitkul – the inhabited village on the Indo-Tibetan border. Located along the famous Baspa valley, Chitkul has terrain and green vegetation on the slopes. Also, get a chance to catch the glimpse of the mighty Mt. Kinner Khailash from here. Drive back to Sangla for an overnight stay.

 

DAY 04: SANGLA TO KALPA 2,758 METRES / 9,048 FEET (40 KMS/ 2-3 HRS)

The net day, drive towards Kalpa from Sangla. Halt at Recongpeo where you can explore the offerings at the local market. Lunch at the local restaurant,t where you can try Indian as well as Tibetan cuisine. Reach Kalpa in evening rest at the hotel for an overnight stay.

 

DAY 05:  KALPA LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

Take a tour of Kalpa village and the nearby Roghi village after breakfast. Covered with thick pine forest and apple and apricot orchards, these villages get you a chance to hobnob with the spectacular view of Mt. Kinner Kailash located at an altitude of 6000mts above sea level. It has all the characteristics of a heritage village. Kalpa came into prominence in the wake of British Governor General Lord Dalhousie’s visit in the 19th century overnight stay same hotel at Kalpa Valley.

 

DAY 06:  TRANSFER FROM KALPA TO SHIMLA

Post breakfast, leave for Shimla via Narkanda where you can stopover for a photo session. Enjoy staying at the hotel in Shimla.

 

DAY 07:  SHIMLA-CHANDIGARH (130 KMS,3-4 HOURS)

Morning, after breakfast, you’ll be dropped at the Chandigarh railway station or airport. The tour ends here.
